There are cheaper bodies than STB. But for the quality you receive, we are the best priced option. That is because all we build are junk removal trucks. Our entire facility was built to build only one type of truck; junk removal trucks. This allows us to have a steady flow of junk trucks down our assembly line that minimizes the added expense of switching between body types. We pass those savings off to our customers.

– Quick Turn Time –

COVID delayed this process. But as of Summer 2023, STB often has trucks in stock. If you need a custom color or an option that we do not have in stock we are averaging about a 4 week completion time from the time the order is placed. Most other body companies are much longer.

We currently keep the Chevrolet 4500 LCF and Isuzu NPR-HD in stock at our shops. We provide industry leading turnaround times and simplified processing. Specialty Truck Bodies will help you avoid the usual back and forth that is normal with dealerships that don’t often deal with junk removal companies.

If you want to provide your own chassis, we can accommodate that as well.

Large selection of colors are standard. Bodies are primed and painted. Many body companies will actually powder coat their truck bodies. The problem is when powder is damaged it chips off rather than scratch like paint. You also cannot touch up powder, unlike paint. Your junk truck is get dinged and scratched from tree branches and items that are being loaded into the truck. You want to be able to easily fix this. If a body company does offer paint. Many of them don’t prime the truck. Priming adds a day to the build timeline of a truck. It is important to prime to get maximum life and durability of the paint. If paint scratches with no primer then it’s much more likely to rust. STB primes and paints all trucks.

Provides for a smooth easy dump, amazing exterior signage, and the industry standard in rigidity and strength.

Notched For Wall Supports: Plenty thick to withstand the heaviest of loads in your junk removal truck. This is the same size floor plate most heavy duty dump trucks use. The notches in the floor plate is pretty unique to STB and provides even greater strength and durability for the body.

We also can offer a manual crank tarp system if you prefer the manual system. With the MASSIVE 11 ton (22,000 pound) dumping capacity of this hoist you never have to worry about not being able to dump your junk removal load. If the truck can haul it, then Champion can dump it

Junk Removal Trucks Additional Options

Appearance Package

Vinyl graphics. Standard package or full wrap. STB’s designer understand how to design vehicle graphics that look great and convert into business. Your truck is a giant moving billboard. If graphics are done properly it will help highlight the professionalism of your company and get you new jobs. Done incorrectly, it can have the opposite effect. We use high quality vinyl that is laminated for maximum durability and appearance.

Underbody Boxes

Option of a 5 foot driver side box and/or a 3 foot long passenger side box. Underbody boxes are a great place to put any tool kits, straps, or moving blankets. Although there is plenty of room in the standard STB tool box, the inside will get dirty because of brooms, shovels, dust pans, etc. Also, items can move to the far side of the box where they are hard to reach. The underbody box can be exclusively used for items that you wish to keep clean such as moving blankets, lifting straps, etc.

Cab Camera w/ Advance
Telematics and GPS

We’ve partnered with Blue Arrow Telematics to offer in cab telematics and camera systems for junk removal trucks. These systems use Artificial Intelligence to monitor driver behavior and provide you with a live and recorded view of what is going on within your largest investment (your truck).

Winch

A winch allows you to easily pull up heavy items onto the back of your truck. We mount winches at the top of the front of the bed. The walls are reinforced so the winch won’t damage the body. The winch is at least a 4000 pound winch. By raising the dump bed you will lower the deck height and easily be able to load pianos, riding lawn mowers, or other heavy items.

Backup Camera

See what’s behind you with a backup camera when you are backing up. STB recommends that because there are almost always two people in a junk truck that the passenger gets out to guide the driver back. But a backup camera can provide just a bit more visibility for the driver. Comes as a dealer option on some cab & chassis

Spare Tarps

Tarps generally need to be replaced every few months. Make sure you have at least one or two spares per truck.

2nd Battery for Gas Trucks

Gas trucks come standard with one battery. The dump system is powered off the electrical system. This is a large load on the battery. This upgrade adds a second battery to your truck. One battery will run the dump system and the other the truck electrical system. Should one battery die you can switch over to the other battery to run the entire truck. This keeps you from being late to jobs when a battery inevitably gives out. We highly recommend this option.
