Privacy policy
How Specialty Truck Bodies handles the information you share on this website.
Effective date: September 26, 2026
What information do we collect?
We collect information from you when you fill out a form on our site, such as a quote request. You may be asked to enter your name, company name, e-mail address, phone number, delivery state and details about the truck you are considering. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.
If you list a truck or ask about one
Our site includes a marketplace where people list junk removal trucks for sale. What we collect depends on what you do.
If you list a truck. We collect your name, your business name if you have one, your phone number, your email address, your location, the details and price of the truck, and the photographs you upload. We publish the listing, including your photographs and the information you give us about the truck. We show buyers a way to reach you. We do not publish your email address. We do not text sellers today. If we start, we will text only sellers who asked us to, and you will be able to reply STOP to stop.
If you ask about a truck, or sign up for alerts. We collect your name, phone number and email address, the messages and questions you send, and which listings you looked at or asked about. We pass your message and your contact details to the seller so they can answer you, and once we do that the seller has your information and handles it themselves. If we add a public questions and answers feature later, anything you post there is visible to everyone, so do not include private details in one. If you opt in to marketing, we and our affiliate Junk Removal Authority (JRA) may send you marketing by email and text; that is separate from truck alerts and you can opt out of either at any time (reply STOP to stop texts).
If you tell us a truck sold. We collect the sale price you report. We may use reported sale prices in listing and market reports. Those reports are built from what sellers tell us, we do not verify them, and we label them that way.
What we do with it. We run the marketplace, review listings before they appear, keep listings current, answer questions, pass messages between buyers and sellers, produce listing and market reports, and improve the site. We also use it as described in the rest of this policy.
Your photographs. When you upload a photograph you give us permission to display it on this site and to use it to promote the marketplace and your listing, including in advertising and on social media platforms, with a sublicense to those platforms for that purpose, and the right to resize, crop or add a marketplace label. You keep ownership of your photographs. You are telling us you have the right to the pictures you upload and that anything identifiable in them is yours to show.
Text messages. We do not send text messages today. Where you have asked us to, we may text sellers about their listings and buyers about new listings and reports, and any marketing texts would go only to people who opted in. Message and data rates may apply.
Removing a listing. Tell us and we will take it down. Listings expire on their own after about sixty days. After a listing comes down we keep our record of it, including the enquiries it received, for our own business and legal purposes, and information a seller already received about a buyer is with that seller and outside our control.
What do we use your information for?
Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:
- To respond to your quote request and contact you about a truck purchase.
- To improve our website, based on the information and feedback we receive from you.
- To improve customer service, so we can respond more effectively to your requests and support needs.
- To reach you and people like you with our advertising on platforms such as Google and Meta.
- To send periodic emails. The email address you provide may be used to send you information relating to your request, in addition to occasional company news, updates and related product or service information. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from future emails, follow the unsubscribe instructions in the email or contact us.
- To run the marketplace, publish listings, pass messages between buyers and sellers, and produce listing and market reports.
How do we protect your information?
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you enter, submit or access it. Quote requests are transmitted over an encrypted connection and delivered to our sales team by email.
Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell real visitors from automated bots. To do that it processes technical signals about your device and browser behaviour. It is an essential security feature, not an advertising tool, and it does not depend on your advertising cookie choice.
Do we use cookies and tracking pixels?
Cookies are small files a website or its provider places in your browser so the site can recognise your browser and remember certain things. We use cookies and similar browser storage to understand site traffic and how the site is used, and to remember the campaign that brought you here.
We also use the Meta pixel on this site. It is a small piece of code from Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. When you visit a page, it tells Meta that a visit happened and sends your IP address, information about your browser and device, and the page you are on. It also lets Meta place its own cookie in your browser. This happens whether or not you fill in a form or contact us, and it lets us measure our advertising and show ads on Facebook and Instagram to people who have visited this site.
Meta uses that information for its own purposes as well as ours, under its own privacy policy, and not only as a service provider acting on our instructions. Other providers we use to run and understand the website may only use what they collect to do that work for us.
You can limit this. Your ad settings inside Facebook and Instagram control how your activity off those platforms is used for advertising, and your browser and device settings let you block or delete cookies. Both iOS and Android also offer a setting that limits ad tracking.
Do Not Track
STB does not respond to Do Not Track signals.
Do we share information with outside parties?
We do not sell your personal information for money.
We do share it in these ways. We give the information you submit to service providers who help us operate the website, respond to your request and run our business, and they may use it only to do that work for us. When you send us an enquiry we pass it to our own sales line by text message through Twilio, our messaging provider. Your name, your company if you give one, your phone number and your state go to Twilio for that. We may provide your contact information, such as your name, email address and phone number, to advertising platforms including Google and Meta, so that we can reach you and people like you with our advertising and measure how it performs. Some state privacy laws treat that kind of sharing with advertising platforms as a 'sale' or as 'sharing' even though no money changes hands. The advertising pixel described above sends Meta information about your visit even if you never give us your contact details, and some state privacy laws treat that as 'sharing' in the same way. We will also release information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect our rights, property or safety, or the rights, property or safety of others. Aggregate visitor information that does not identify you may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising or other uses.
Your choices
You can turn off advertising and analytics cookies, including the Google and Meta tags, at any time using the Privacy choices link in our site footer or the cookie notice. Turning them off stops the advertising pixel from running on your visits. We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals sent by your browser as an opt-out request, and we do not run advertising tags when we receive one. If you would also prefer that contact information you submit to us not be shared with advertising platforms, tell us when you request a quote or contact us afterward, and we will exclude it. That contact-information choice is separate from your cookie choice. The advertising pixel itself is controlled by your Privacy choices cookie setting and by Global Privacy Control, both described above: turning advertising cookies off stops the pixel from running on your visits. The controls inside Facebook and Instagram, and your browser and device settings, are additional ways to limit how your activity is used.
Third-party links
Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third-party products or services on our website, including embedded videos. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.
California privacy
This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have, including how to turn off advertising cookies and how to ask us not to share the contact information you submit with advertising platforms. We honor Global Privacy Control signals sent by your browser as an opt-out.
Children
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 years of age, and this site is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your consent
By using our site, you consent to our website privacy policy.

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page.
