Terms of use
The rules for the junk removal truck marketplace on this website.
Effective date: September 26, 2026
These terms cover the marketplace section of this website. They are between you and Specialty Truck Bodies, LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company at 950 Windy Rd, Suite 200, Apex, NC 27502 (“STB,” “we,” “us”). Using the marketplace means you accept them.
1. What this marketplace is, and what it is not
The marketplace is a place to list junk removal trucks for sale and to find one. Sellers list their own trucks. Buyers contact sellers. Any sale is between the buyer and the seller. We are not the seller, not the buyer, not an agent for either, and not a party to the sale.
We take no commission and no cut of any sale between a buyer and a seller. We do not handle payment, we do not hold funds, and we offer no escrow. Money and paperwork are between you and the person on the other side.
Trucks we sell ourselves. STB also sells its own new and used trucks here. Those listings are labelled as sold by Specialty Truck Bodies, and they may appear ahead of other listings. For those listings STB is the seller, this section does not apply to us, and your rights come from your purchase documents with STB rather than from these terms. If a listing is not labelled as sold by Specialty Truck Bodies, it is someone else’s truck and we are not behind it.
2. What our review does and does not do
We look at every listing before it appears. We are checking two things: that it is a junk removal truck or closely related equipment, and that it is not obviously improper. We approve or reject on that basis, usually quickly.
That is the whole of it. We do not inspect trucks. We do not verify that a seller owns what they are listing, that the title is clear, that there is no lien, that the mileage, hours, condition, year, repairs or history are as described, that photographs show the actual truck, that the price is fair, or that anything a seller says is true. Our review is not an endorsement, an inspection, an appraisal or a warranty, and you should not treat an approved listing as any of those.
We may remove a listing, a question, an answer or an account at any time, with or without a reason, and we do not have to explain it. We have no duty to monitor what people post beyond the review described above.
3. Buying here
Everything on a listing comes from the seller. Check it yourself before you pay anybody. Inspect the truck or have someone inspect it, confirm the seller owns it and can sell it, run a title and lien check, and do not send money to someone you have not verified.
We give no warranty of any kind on a third-party listing or on any truck sold through it, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
If anything asks you to move payment off this site, or to wire money to hold a truck, treat it as a warning sign. We will never ask you to send money to a seller through us, because we do not handle payments at all.
4. Selling here
By listing, you tell us that:
- you own the truck or are authorised to sell it, and it is yours to sell;
- everything you say about it is true, including condition, mileage or hours, year and history, and you will correct a listing that stops being accurate;
- you will disclose any lien, loan or other claim against it;
- the photographs are of the actual truck, they are yours to use, and anything identifiable in them is yours to show; and
- you are not listing a stolen truck, and you are not listing on behalf of someone who asked you to conceal who they are.
Your photographs. You keep them. You give us permission to display them on this site and to use them to promote the marketplace and your listing, including in advertising and on social media platforms, with a sublicense to those platforms for that purpose, and the right to resize, crop or add a marketplace label. That permission continues for listings and reports we have already published.
A buyer’s details are for the sale. When we pass you a buyer’s name, number or email, use it to answer that enquiry and to complete that sale. Do not add it to a mailing or texting list, do not sell it, and do not pass it on.
Listings expire. Listings run about sixty days and then expire. Tell us and we will remove one sooner. You can manage price, details, renewal and marking it sold by replying to our texts if you opted into them, or by contacting us.
5. Things you may not list or do
No trucks you do not own or cannot sell. Nothing stolen. No listing with a hidden lien. Nothing that is not a junk removal truck or closely related equipment. No fake, duplicate or placeholder listings, and no listing a price you will not honour to draw enquiries.
Do not use the marketplace to send unrelated advertising to people who contact you. Do not scrape it, copy the listings wholesale, or use it to build a competing database. Do not impersonate anyone. Do not try to take payment for a truck you are not going to deliver, which is fraud and we will report it.
6. Messages you send
When you message a seller, your message and your contact details go to that seller so they can reply to you. Keep it about the truck. Do not send anything false about a person or a company, anything that is not yours to send, or anything inviting people to move payment off the site. We may remove content and accounts for any reason.
If we add a public questions and answers feature later, anything you post there will be visible to everyone, so do not include your phone number, your address, your email or anything private in a public post.
7. Telling us about a problem
If a listing looks fraudulent, a truck looks stolen, someone is trying to move you off-platform, or somebody is abusing another person here, tell us right away by calling (919) 342-5488 or emailing [email protected], and our team will look into it. We would rather hear about it early.
8. Copyright complaints (DMCA)
We respect copyright. If you believe material on this site infringes a copyright you own or control, send a written notice to our designated agent that includes: your physical or electronic signature; identification of the copyrighted work; identification of the material you believe infringes and enough detail for us to locate it; your name, address, phone and email; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
When we receive a valid notice we remove or disable the material as the law requires, and we notify the person who posted it, who may send a counter-notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If they do, we may restore the material after the statutory waiting period unless the complainant files a court action seeking to keep it down. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

9. Text messages
We text sellers about their listings and buyers about new listings and reports, but only where the person asked us to. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop and HELP for help. Stopping one kind of message does not stop the other kind if you asked for both.
10. Listing and market reports
We publish reports on what is listed and on sale prices sellers tell us about. Sale prices in our reports are reported by sellers. We do not verify them. Treat the reports as a rough picture of what people say they are asking and getting, not as an appraisal or a valuation, and do not rely on them to price a truck or to decide what to pay for one.
11. Where we stand if something goes wrong
We provide the marketplace as it is. We do not promise it will be available, error free, or that listings are accurate, and we are not responsible for what buyers and sellers do with each other.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising out of a sale between a buyer and a seller, a listing, anything posted here, or your use of the marketplace, and our total liability for anything connected with the marketplace will not exceed one hundred dollars ($100). This does not limit anything the law does not allow us to limit, and it does not apply to a truck you buy from Specialty Truck Bodies itself, which is covered by your purchase documents with STB.
You will cover us for claims arising out of what you list, post, or do here, and out of a sale you make or make an offer on.
12. General
North Carolina law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and disputes belong in the state or federal courts in Wake County, North Carolina.
We may change these terms, and we will post the new version with a new date. Continuing to use the marketplace after that means you accept the change.
If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still stands. These terms, plus our privacy policy, are the whole agreement between us about the marketplace.
